How does the calorie count work?
Snap a photo of your meal and Mu Plate uses AI to identify the food, estimate portions, and total the calories. AI estimates can be off by 15–20% — you can adjust any item before saving.
How many scans do I get?
Five free scans every day, resetting at your local midnight. Premium unlocks unlimited scans.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Mu Plate. Subscriptions are handled by Apple; you can cancel any time before renewal.
Where is my data stored?
Your food log lives on your iPhone. If you sign in, an encrypted backup is kept so it survives across devices. We don't sell your data and there's no ad tracking. See our

How do I delete my account and data?
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your food log from your device and our backup, and signs you out. There's nothing left on our side after that.
Restore a purchase?
Open the paywall in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
